Add a Revenue Stream to Your Business This Year Using Virtual Retreat Days

You know you need to add another revenue stream to increase your cash flow, but which one? There are so many directions you can go in, how do you know which is right for you?

You could do a Telesummit, start a membership site, create a Platinum, high ticket coaching program………the ideas are limitless.

Since my theme song is Simple and Elegant, my first choice right now is a VIP day, also called a Virtual Retreat Day.

I have done all of mine on the phone, virtually. It’s so much easier to just pick up the phone and dial into a bridge line than hoping on a plane, getting a hotel, and having to look nice to boot!

Virtual VIP days are the easiest way to do this.

In a nutshell, VIP days can be done privately or in a group setting. I have been involved in many, group and private, with my own coaches and have run many of them myself in my own business.

Let me give you some quick tips so you will see how easy they can be to attend and set up as your own.

  • How to Structure Your Day

I generally schedule 5 – 6 hour days. We are on an off the phone all day, with generally no call lasting more than 45 minutes. You give your client(s) their homework for that break while you can just hang, check email, whatever you wish.

1.  Pace Yourself and Your Information

I know how easy it is to share everything you know about a particular subject. I know you like to ‘over deliver’ and I do too. But, please don’t. It would be so easy to overwhelm your client(s) with too much information.

Break your information down into bite size pieces, step-by-step systems to help them digest what you are teaching and sharing. Pick one topic, one primary challenge your client has and address that one only.

2.  Offer Bonus Handouts

Clients love handouts, checklists, and tips. Offer at least one or two to increase the value of your day.

3.  What is your upsell?

This is the perfect opportunity at the end of your call to offer another program or service you have. You want them to stay in action and hiring you will keep them moving forward. Accountability is what coaching is about, right? I also suggest you give them a great discount if they decide to continue with you either that day or in 24-48 hours.

Are you ready to add Virtual Retreat’s to your business? I suggest you sign up for one yourself so you can ‘live’ the experience of how powerful they are and how much forward action you can take in your business.

Are you ready to step up and helping your client(s) with their challenges? This is a win win for you and your clients.

Action Step : My suggestion is you sign up for a VIP day experience, mine or someone else’s, but I want you to see how beautifully they work.  Once you have done that I encourage you to design your own first Virtual Retreat Day experience. If you have any questions, you know where to find me, of course.  So, what topic will your first VIP day be around?

Marti, I KNOW you can do this in your business!! I think about anyone can for that matter.

I don’t have any calls now on teaching people how to do VIP days but I sure could do that if there is enough interest.

They are really fun to do and clients love them!

I love this idea Kim! I first heard of the virtual retreat a few weeks ago. I signed up for it knowing that I would not be able to attend due to the time difference (I live in Paris, France), but reached out to the retreat leader to ask her about the concept and about whether we might be able to collaborate on something together. I never heard back from her.
How can I learn more about this from you?

    Monique,
How lovely to hear from you! You know, I often sign up for calls I can’t make but that means only listening for an hour or so (which sometimes I don’t even do that!) I think it would be hard to listen to an all day call…….but maybe not. Best to be there live though.

Would you like to simply email back and forth or possibly do a skype call? Just for a short chat then we can figure out where to go from there.

My girls and I were in Paris about 2 years ago. Now I know this is a stretch but I am going to throw it out anyway……….Do you know Moira Allen? We stayed with her in her flat while we were there. And of course we LOVED Paris!

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Graciously,
    ~Kim

This is an awesome idea. I’m going to have to use it. So often people have to take calls and miss parts of workshops and seminars and this seems to give the freedom to do that when necessary while still providing value. Great stuff…Thanks.

Great Dolores! The best way for a VIP Day is for the client to really block out their entire day, including cell phone, emails off etc.. You’d be how amazed how easily someone can clear a day when they want what you have!!

Hello Kim: Thank you so much! This is a great idea, and I think this is a wonderful fit with the work I do with my clients. I would love to know more and would be willing to sign up for one of your Virtual Retreat Days.

FYI (not to eavesdrop on your conversation with Monique): I know Moira Allen! I was her Mentor Coach and Trainer when she did her Certified Coach Program. It is a small world, isn’t it?

    All the best!

LOL!!! How cool Dr. Jackie that you know Moira!! That is truly incredible isn’t it? She is such a wonderful women and she showed my and my girls the best time ever in Paris and around.

Thanks for you interest in doing VIP days. I have had so much interest I am thinking of running a group Virtual Retreat Day to learn how to do VIP Days!

Would you be interested in a private VIP Day or group? Looks like I have to put something together for a group………I look forward to doing that.

    Thanks Dr. Jackie

      Hi Kim
The virtual retreat sounds like a great idea. I am not a confident as the others in how this will work with my business. If you get something going for this, I am on board!

I am thinking about it Renny! Right now I have something else I am promoting but I think having a Virtual Retreat Day on how to do Virtual Retreats may be next on my list!
The feedback I have gotten from this group and others has been phenomenal!
In fact I KNOW I will do this, just need to figure out where to fit it in!

Hi. I am interested in a “group” virtual retreat session. I am a retired-PR consultant and would like to set up an “over 50” on line consulting biz and virtual consultations seem the way to go. Thanks, Jeanne

Virtual is how I do all my work Jeanne, except for my yearly live retreat and a live Mastermind group I run.

If you go over to my website (www.positiveaginginc.com ) and sign up to get on my list you will be notified when I get that group going.

    How does that sound?

    ~Kim
